one memory that Felix has of his parents is that they owned a book shop and they loved to read,and to read to Felix at his bed time. Felix thinks that his mum and dad left the carrot as a message that hey are going to come and pick him up. I think that Felix thinks that he will find his mum and dad and live happily ever after. 

The book in doing a journal about is good night Mr tom.it is about a boy and he is in the blitz with his mum.After a little while his mum sends him out to the country side,then there was a man named tom and he forced too look after the boy.when the boy arrived he was a bit shy then Mr tom made the boy some dinner and the boy Sai he wasn’t hungry.then Mr tom took the boy upstairs to un pack then he found a belt.after a few nights the boy took of his top and showed mr tom his scars that his mum made by putting on his back then mr tom threw the belt away then the boy had to go back home then his mum got him a surprise and it was a baby sister and his mum unpacked his bag and his mum realised the belt was gone.at the end mr tom realised that the boy hadn’t sent a letter for long so he went down to his house and tried to get the boy to come and live with him then they went to his house and mr toms dog could smell the boy so they kicked open the door to see the boy and they couldn’t find him then the shouted help and they found him and his sis in the basement unfortunately his sister was dead then he went to live with me tom. My opinion on the book is that it is very sad at the end that his sis died but then it was good at the  beginning.that is my opinion.
